Ferdows Garden is one of the precious and historical houses of Shemiranat district of Tehran, and it is located in one of the old neighborhoods of this district with the same name. It is left from Qajar dynasty until today, and it was being used as Cinema Museum since 2002.
The garden area is 20 thousands square meters and the building is established in three floors and one underground floor with a 1000 meter foundation. The floor tilt of this building is from north west to south east, and the severity of this tilt is so much that the first floor is in the same level of the southern part of the garden and its ceiling is in the same level of the northern part of the garden. Ferdows Garden building is full of beautiful moldings, round and thick pillars patterned all around with artistic moldings.
This relic was registered in August 2th, 1997 as one of Iran’s national relics with the registration number of 1876.
Qasr prison which used to be one of the famous prisons located in the heart of Tehran has been turned into a Museum since some years ago. Qasr Museum-Garden which was formerly called Qasr prison was Tehran’s first centralized prison. This prison is now inoperative and it is being visited by the public in the title of Qasr Museum-Garden as one Iran’s cultural, historical and artistic centers.
Qasr Garden-Museum was first a castle created by the order of Fathali Shah of Qajar in 1798 and after 130 years, the first prison of Iran was formed on the foundation of Qajar palace that was desolated by a huge flood, and it was named Qasr prison in 1929.
Fazel Iraqi’s house is from Qajar dynasty and is located in Tehran, West to Ferdowsi Square, and this relic was registered as one of Iran’s national relics in January 31th, 1999 with the registration number of 2568.
This house is endowed by the departed Fazel Iraqi. The creator and architect of this building have created variety in the façade of the building by making fovea and concavities. The central part of the façade is considered the most salient part of the building with a full glass door in the pilot floor and a full glass window on the first floor. The tiles of this beautiful building are very precious and the images of Iran’s ancient kings and Shahs are fairly drawn on them.
Garden and building of Eyn-od-dowleh are one of Iran’s historical buildings and one of Iran’s valuable national relics which was established during the Qajar dynasty.
This garden/building was the summer residential house of “Eynoddoleh”, the minister of three critical historical eras of Iran during the Qajar dynasty, and nearly at the time of government change from Qajar to Pahlavi, this place was turned into the permanent residential house of Heravi family “Basiroddoleh”.
At the time of establishment (during 1911-1921) included a ceremonial building, a large pool and many gardens surrounding it. In 1997, while this place was desolated and deserted many years before, it was detected and was registered in June 25th, 1998 in the list of Iran’s national relics. Currently, Barg art gallery operates in Eynoddoleh building.
One of the important historical events that happened in this place is Tehran conference and the accommodation of great politicians in this building.
Qavam al-Dowler’s house which is also known as Vosuq al-Dowler’s house is one of the historical and beautiful buildings located in the heart of Tehran city. It was registered in the list of Iran’s national relics and it is visited by domestic and foreigner tourists. This building was constructed in 1832 in the ear of Muhammad Shah of Qajar for one of the authorities of Qajar, named Mirza Muhammad Qavam al-Dowleh Ashtiani.
The first element attracting the attention of the visitors of this house is the symmetry and the order of this house which is covered with bricks and woods. Moreover, two symmetrical funnels are among the beautiful elements of this old house.
Qavam al-Dowler’s house was registered in the list of Iran’s national relics in 1998 with the registration number of 2024.
In the early 1330 AH, a tall gate was erected at the entrance to the former vicinity known as Maidan-e-Mashk. Thereafter a large portion of these lands came under national garden, therefore called Baq-e-Melli (National Garden).
Presently this area is in the midst of Central Post Office of Tehran, Police Headquarter office and the registration office.
The complex of Haj Hussein Aqa Malek’s house is one of the centers affiliated with Malek national library and museum institution. The house of Malek was located in the Bazar tissue and its relation to urban complexes is important (for being in the middle of the path between two mosques of Imam Mosque (former Shah Mosque) and the central mosque. This building includes two architecture types of Qajar and Pahlavi.
Malek’s house is one of the buildings that have the particular decorations of each era. Brickwork, tiling, lithographs, and moldings of Qajar era and woodcarvings, wood decorations, wall covers of Qajar era and the metal decorations are among the arts used in the decorations of Malek’s house.
This house was registered in the list of Iran’s national relics on December 7th, 1997 with the registration number of 1940.
National library and museum of Malek are one of the libraries of Tehran city. It was established in 1937 by Hussein Aqa Malek and all of its properties and tenements were dedicated to Astan Quds Razavi.
In July of 1944, a large area of the national garden of Tehran (Mashq square) was dedicated for the new building of the library and museum. The establishment of the new building of Malek’s national library and museum started on 1985 and was finished in 1996.
This complex is located in Imam Khomeini (Sepah) street, next to Foreign affairs building.
Saba museum is one of the museums of Tehran province and is related to Master Abul-Hassan Saba, the outstanding master of Iran’s music.
Abul-Hassan Saba knew music composition other than playing instruments, also he had a good familiarity with Iran’s classic literature. This artistic museum is his personal house which according to his will was turned into a museum by the department of Fine arts in November 20th, 1974.
