Astara is a city in and the capital of Astara County, Gilan Province, Iran. The city of Astara is located northwest of Gilan Province and borders the Caspian Sea in the east. It lies on the border with the Azerbaijan Republic and on the Caspian Sea.
Astara has a humid subtropical climate with cold, wet winters and hot, humid summers
Astara’s main historical attraction is the Ilkhanid era (1256–1335) Sheikh Taj Al-din Mahmud Khivi Mausoleum. Sheikh Taj Al-din was a renowned Sufi master who was believed to work miracles. Locals consider his mausoleum a sacred place.
Visiting Astara need two days trip with one-night hotel accommodation in the city.
At the start of our trip, we will check in to our room in Espinas Hotel Astara. A nice hotel located just beside the Estil Lagoon.
After some rest, we will transfer to Laton Waterfall in the Lavandvill National Park located near to Astara.
We have some hours in this area and enjoy the amazing natural place of Guilan Nature.
After this area on our first day of Astara Tour, we will transfer to Heyran Pass and Telecabin Area. Another nice place to visit in Astara.
We will eat lunch here. After enjoying Gondola lift and visit one of the best natural places in Iran, we will transfer back to the hotel to enjoy the Estil Lagoon and Dinner in the Espinas Hotel Astara Restaurant.
At the start of day 2, we take a look at Peer Qotbeddin Tomb. The most important Islamic attraction in this city.
Till lunch, we will enjoy the great view of Caspian See in the Astara Beach.
For lunch, we will eat some special traditional food in one of the oldest restaurants in Astara, Rouhi Restaurant Astara with over 110 years old.
After lunch, we have some free time for shopping in Astara Border Mall.
