Babol is located in the north of Iran, between the northern slopes of the Alborz Mountains and southern coast of the Caspian Sea. Founded in the 16th century, it was built on the site of the ancient city of Mamtir
Babol is a new name for the site of the ancient city of Mamatir, that then was named as Barforush. The city receives abundant rainfall.
Babol is in the north-east of Tehran and is one of the most important cities in the north of Iran. It is the region’s chief center.
It is famous for its orange farms, for which it is dubbed “the city of orange blossoms”.
Visiting Babol City need a day trip without accommodation.
For start visiting Babol City, we should have a short trip to out Babol for enjoying a nice morning in Tirkan Waterfall. This waterfall located 30 Km south of Babol.
After visiting this area and have a nice look at this Special Nature Area, we will transfer back to Babol city for visiting the historical Jame Mosque of Babol.
For lunch, we will eat a special and famous food called Akbar Joojeh in the Akbar Joojeh Restaurant located in 3 Km south of Babol.
After this nice lunch, we will take a look at Mohammad Hassan Khan Historical Bridge located in the central of Babol.
For the last site, we will enjoy the Babol traditional Bazaar to visit the area and shopping.
